The vertebral artery (VA) commonly originates from the left subclavian artery, however, variant exists (Case 1).

This patient has two variants at the aortic arch:

  1. Bovine-type origin of the right subclavian artery and left common carotid artery.
  2. Aortic arch origin of the left vertebral artery.

Red arrow: Right brachiocephalic artery.
Orange arrow: Left CCA.
Blue arrow: Left VA.
Green arrow: Left subclavian artery.
