Artery, Anterior Temporal
The anterior temporal artery is usually a branch of the M1 segment of the middle cerebral artery.
Anatomy
- Origin: M1
- Courses anteriorly and laterally
- Curves out of Sylvian fissure
- Runs posteriorly over temporal lobe
- Supplies anterior superior/middle/inferior temporal gyri
